A city is a silent covenant—between nature and humankind, written across the currents of time.In Beijing, a cultural epicenter with over 3,000 years of history, every corner whispers tales of nature entwined with civilization.
Waterways thread through ancient legends. Historically short of water, Beijing was once called “Youzhou of the Bitter Sea”—its wells yielding harsh, bitter water, said to be cursed by a coiled dragon lurking beneath the land.
To tame the beast, the city was designed in the shape of Nezha with eight arms—myth woven into urban planning.
The Yongding River, known as the mother of Beijing, has silently witnessed the city’s transformation and rebirth.
Drawing inspiration from the city’s elemental relationship with water, UPPERVOID second flagship, located in Beijing, is named PUZE—“Universal Grace.”
Where water flows, life begins.
The store’s design merges raw materials and natural textures, forming a pressure-free zone where the city dissolves into nature.

The Wild Terrain of Art Deco
Art Deco is a wilderness of style—where the opulence of The Great Gatsby meets the botanical elegance of Louis XVI. Born in post–World War I France, this movement embraced contradictions: natural forms and geometric rigor, classical references and modern exuberance. It was never just one thing, but a flourishing of many — a visual language teeming with life.
Drawing from the architectural spirit of Art Deco, UPPERVOID’s Beijing “PUZE” store blends precision craftsmanship with contemporary minimalism. Through a rich palette of materials and textures, the space breaks away from singularity—balancing modern restraint with echoes of ancient symbols, inviting a wild yet refined sense of comfort.

Cross of Light: The Pyramid Lamp
The pyramid is a sacred enigma—born of nature, carved by ancient hands, and standing for over 4,600 years. Often linked to the Sun God, its form is a beacon of divine light and the eternal bond between the pharaoh and the heavens.
At UPPERVOID’s Beijing “PUZE” store, the pyramid-shaped vintage lamp is more than a lighting piece. Its intersecting lines at the top form the brand’s iconic cross symbol — a silhouette of distant ridgelines, a lighthouse in the dark. It points toward the quiet pull of one’s inner longing, and the calm that comes from returning to nature.

The Serenity Confessional
In Roman Catholic tradition, the confessional is a sacred chamber — a private refuge where believers whisper their burdens, seeking forgiveness and peace.
Inspired by the sacred quietude of a confessional, the UPPERVOID Beijing “PUZE” store reimagines it as a Worry Pavilion—a tranquil shelter without fear, where the burdens of the mind gently fall away. To step inside is to pause the noise of the digital world, and let the fresh air dissolve your sighs.
Here, you begin your journey back to nature, bathed not in data, but in light.

Veil of Violet Mist
In ancient Chinese astronomy, the constellation Ziwei Yuan marked the celestial center — home of the heavenly emperor. Hence, the Forbidden City was known as the Purple Forbidden Enclosure. In this tradition, violet symbolizes auspicious energy, divine presence, and the ethereal realm of immortals.
Plants — silent witnesses to time — carry stories etched in every leaf. At twilight, shadows ripple across the palace walls, and a violet haze rises from the trees. Inspired by this sacred hue and the quiet power of plant life, the UPPERVOID “PUZE” store in Beijing creates a serene corner where nature’s ancient tales linger in the air, waiting to be heard.

Green Ripples Beneath the Feet
Inspired by the flowing grace of Yongding River — Beijing’s mother river — this green ripple stone captures the rhythm of time and the city’s ever-evolving story with nature. Like gentle waves etched by history, it speaks of harmony, resilience, and the intimate dialogue between humans and the land.
At the UPPERVOID “PUZE” store in Beijing, green ripple stones stir subtle echoes beneath the feet, supporting a soft recovery sneaker shaped by the silhouette of a hovercraft. Cradled in eco-foam soles, each step becomes a gentle float through nature’s embrace.

The Shibiela Signal Pillar
Stone columns — longstanding symbols in ancient architecture — act as bridges between eras, bearing weight not only in structure but in meaning. In the Forbidden City, the “Shibiela” served beyond support — it was a signal, a silent conduit threading together separate spaces.
Inspired by this legacy, UPPERVOID “PUZE” Beijing reimagines the stone column as a radiating installation, integrated with the brand’s iconic cross symbol. The ancient cross — at once sun, stars, sky, and soil — anchors the stories between humankind and nature across time and space. These pillars uphold the richness and mysteries of nature, while the cross points us forward — with faith in the unknown, and the unchanging desire to explore.

Glazed Messages
In old Beijing, glazed tiles served as nature’s stationery — bearing the footprints of pigeons, impressions of fallen leaves, the whispers of wind, and the breath of rain. They recorded the rhythms of life in silence.
Inspired by these poetic messengers, the textile display wall at UPPERVOID “PUZE” Beijing mirrors the uneven harmony of glazed tiles, with fabric swatches arranged in cascading colors. Each swatch is a letter to nature —expressing UPPERVOID dedication to material innovation and outdoor function. Through textile technology, we craft bridges to the wild, in search of the calm and joy only nature provides.

As 2025 begins, UPPERVOID “PUZE” officially opens its doors. A new journey into nature awaits — and in nature, good things come naturally.
