Entering a foreign community, picking up fragments of lost civilization, piecing together humanity's initial covenant with nature. Bizarre and towering giant stones, ancient towering trees, or waterfalls roaring like thunder, easily evoke the primal awe and sacred experience in people. The unexplainable can unfold on the way, or it may still remain a secret, but there is no longer fear.
At ISPO Shanghai 2023, UPPERVOID has left a new trail mark of pilgrimage. In the wilderness, witnessing the natural 'wonders,' also seeing the ordinary. Time and pace are in one's own control, creating a mobile 'abode,' visiting the Creator's masterpieces.
A sleeping bag, a guitar, a few potted plants, a skillet, a set of fishing gear, stacked books, crumpled and faded old maps, yellowed photos, scattered wine bottles... piecing together a living trace of a pilgrim's life in nature. After no longer confined to artificially carved paths, the power of the earth is visible everywhere, and all that is seen in the wilderness is a new path. Lighting a bonfire is a place of refuge.
In the hastily written notes, there is wonder, awe, and worship of nature. Having stayed in nature long enough, one will be shaken by the natural laws it conveys, gradually becoming obsessed and even surrendering to the mystery, vastness, and wildness of Mother Nature, and then becoming devout 'pilgrims' and 'missionaries' of nature, eager to let more people comprehend the laws of nature.

They weave a tapestry of primitive freedom in the wild.
